Our Family Stay at Grove Resort & Water Park

So you are heading to the Orlando area and looking for a place to stay… somewhere close by all the excitement but with the comfort of home, perhaps? Your home away from home awaits at The Grove Resort and Water Park! From the moment you drive down the beautiful palm tree lined entrance, you’ll feel the stress melt away and relax into vacation mode.

After check-in, head to your two or three-bedroom suite with separate living and dining area, full sized washer and dryer, and fully equipped kitchen. Each suite has modern decor and is immaculately cleaned. The rooms and bathroom are spacious in size, perfect for a family with a lot of cargo! If you think that sounds good… the accommodations are the tip of the iceberg at The Grove!

Located just six miles from Disney World, the location of Grove Resort is amazing. That being said, there is so much to do here that you don’t even need to go to the theme parks! Surfari Water Park entry is free with your resort stay, and our personal family favorite. Surfari Water Parl consists of FlowRider® Double surf simulator, two water slides, a fun lazy river, epic splash pad for the kids, cabanas for rent, and a heated zero-entry pool. There is also an on-site restaurant to pick up a meal or snack and beverage to enjoy poolside. We had a cabana next to the splash pad and it was a great way to let the kids play while relaxing.

After breakfast head to Lake Austin Pier to look for wildlife! You can rent fishing equipment to try and catch bass, bluegill, sunfish, and catfish, or take a tour of the lake on a pontoon boat. There is also a kid’s activity center full of free and paid actives. We spent some time here coloring pictures and playing with magnet tiles.

Flip Flops Arcade was another favorite of the kiddos. This arcade is expansive with a wide variety of games. Afterwards you can redeem your winnings for prizes or play a round of glow-in-the-dark mini golf!

The Grove Resort has an on-site spa called Escape Spa, and for good reason. I had the pleasure of visiting the spa a few years ago and it was such an escape from the chaos that can come with any travel. The spa can fill up quickly so be sure to book your appointment before visiting!

Let’s talk food – you have a full kitchen in your suite, giving you the option to cook meals right there! If cooking on vacation isn’t your style, the Valencia Restaurant is a great option. The atmosphere is relaxing, the staff is welcoming, and everything we tried was delicious. Breakfast during the week is à la carte and a buffet on weekends. All meals have a kid’s menu which my kids said had “the best burger ever”!

Grove Resort offers daily transportation to Walt Disney World Parks, Universal Orlando, and SeaWorld – we didn’t use this service but it is great for them to offer! Whether you are looking to relax at the spa or splash at the water park with your kids, The Grove Resort has it all!

Until next time…
